One of the best investments I’ve ever made

The value of Reuven’s Data Analytics Bootcamp far exceeds its price tag, and it’s been one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my professional life.

Prior to taking Reuven’s course, I spent countless hours, and more money than I care to mention, buying books, taking self-directed online courses, and even attending other data bootcamps. However, it was only after taking Reuven’s course that I finally felt that I actually understood pandas and how to think in Python. Reuven is not only an expert-level practitioner, he’s also an expert-level educator. That combination is itself rare, and what’s rarer is having direct access to someone like that who can answer questions and explain Python to you personally. And if that wasn’t enough, the small class size of the bootcamp creates a sense of community that sparks new ideas and provides support. You certainly cannot get those things on your own, and they make all the difference.

I work as a data engineer at a nonprofit organization, and I use what I learned in Reuven’s course on a daily basis. I can now use pandas to quickly solve complex problems that were previously unapproachable or, at best, would take days to solve using spreadsheets and SQL alone. For example, this year, I’ve used Python to build a suite of automated dashboards that make data accessible and easy to use for the decision-makers at my organization. I also recently used the pandas method-chaining techniques I learned from Reuven to complete an analysis and present my findings at a national press briefing. And when reporters asked follow-up questions, I was able to use .loc, pd.col, and .value_counts(normalize=True) to respond. I’ve added so many valuable skills since last year, and Reuven’s course is by far the biggest factor in accomplishing that.
