About Reuven M. Lerner
Reuven is a full-time Python trainer, in business since 1995. He offers courses, exercises, and mentoring via LernerPython.com, and also teaches for such companies as Apple, Cisco, Intel, and Sandisk.
Reuven is a popular lecturer at conferences, having presented at both PyCon US and Euro Python for seven years in a row. He has also spoken at each of PyCon Taiwan, PyCon India, PyCon Israel, and PyData Tel Aviv numerous times.
Reuven wrote Python Workout and Pandas Workout, both published by Manning, available in both print and as e-books. He is currently writing “AI-Assisted Python for Nonprogrammers” with O’Reilly, already available in early release.
Reuven publishes both “Better Developers,” a newsletter exploring the Python language, and “Bamboo Weekly,” a newsletter with Pandas challenges based on current events and real-world data sets. He also writes “Trainer Weekly,” about the life of a freelance technical trainer.
Reuven co-hosted the “Freelancers Show” and “Business of Freelancing” podcasts. He was also a columnist at Linux Journal from 1996 until the magazine’s demise in 2019.
Reuven has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from MIT, and a PhD in learning sciences from Northwestern University. He lives in Modi’in, Israel with his wife and three children.
